Data Scientist (SQL, Feature Engineering, Data Visualization, Business Insights) - No Agencies
We are building a new **Data Science pod** and looking for a **Data Scientist** to work closely with our Machine Learning Engineer. Together, you’ll form the foundation of our data-driven strategy, focused on arbitrage, user acquisition, and marketing automation systems. This role goes beyond reporting — you’ll be a key partner to developers, helping with **exploration, feature engineering, and prompt engineering**, while monitoring the **impact of changes in the system** (performance). You’ll bridge the gap between stakeholders, clients, and the technical team, ensuring that insights translate into measurable business impact. • *Responsibilities** - Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and uncover actionable insights - Support developers and ML engineers with feature engineering and prompt engineering - Define and monitor optimization strategies for user acquisition workflows - Maintain dashboards, reports, and SQL queries to track KPIs - Monitor performance to evaluate the impact of system changes - Communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders • *Required Skills** - Strong SQL and data querying - Statistics and analytical methods - Data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) - Experience working with large datasets - **Knowledge of content arbitrage (media buying)** - Excellent communication skills • *Nice-to-Have** - Python for light scripting - Familiarity with arbitrage/adtech systems - Exposure to ML workflows - Web3 and peer-to-peer systems knowledge • *Availability** - 6 AM – 10 AM EST required - Often extended until **12 PM EST** - Occasional meetings as late as **3 PM EST** - Flexibility is essential • *Compensation** - Monthly salary, depending on experience and fit - Performance-based bonus opportunities This is a **full-time, remote role** where you’ll help shape how data drives strategy and optimization across the organization.
