Data Support Analyst

The Data Support Analyst provides essential support, focusing on the validation, analysis, and reporting of energy and sustainability data. This role ensures data accuracy, resolves usage and account alerts, and delivers reporting services that support compliance, efficiency, and stakeholder needs. With a strong focus on service delivery, teamwork, and continuous improvement, the Data Support Analyst helps optimise reporting processes and provides responsive assistance to internal teams, customers, and service providers. Data Management & Reporting Resolve usage and account alerts in a timely and accurate manner. Log queries in the CRM system and ensure appropriate follow-up. Upload and validate interval data in in-house systems. Analyse and validate utility invoices, customer, supplier, and utility data. Produce regular and ad-hoc management reports using MS Excel, MS Access, and internal systems. Provide desktop energy efficiency analysis and advice reports. Assist in the development of online reporting services and in-house tools to support internal teams. Energy Management Support Support network tariff analysis, forecasting, bill verification, and accruals. Contribute to reporting on payments, billing, usage, forecasting, queries, KPIs, and exceptions. Stakeholder Service & Teamwork Provide professional, timely, and responsive service to customers, service providers, and internal stakeholders. Maintain accurate and consistent customer records and internal systems. Ensure confidentiality of customer and provider information. Collaborate effectively with team members, suppliers, and external partners to deliver high-quality services. Engage in training and professional development to meet learning objectives. Undertake reasonable additional tasks to support business goals. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, IT, business, sustainability, or related field preferred. Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar role. Experience in the Australian energy sector highly desirable. Proficiency in MS Excel for data manipulation and reporting (essential). Familiarity with MS Access and CRM systems advantageous. Desirable: automation using VBA for Excel, Word, and Outlook. Desirable: data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or R. Desirable: scripting/programming with Python or R for data cleaning and automation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Effective time management and ability to prioritise multiple tasks. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
