Deputy Director, Division of Universal Preschool
About the position Responsibilities • Plan, direct, and implement programs and policies for the Universal Preschool Division. • Oversee high-level project management and hold managers accountable for commitments and deliverables. • Co-manage staff in the Division of Universal Preschool, with direct supervision over specific business units. • Support the Division Director in guiding program development and project plans. • Monitor activities and coordinate efforts to ensure timely and accurate project implementation. • Approve the Division budget and travel requests. • Establish and maintain communication with management, state departments, federal agencies, and stakeholders. • Conduct meetings with internal and external stakeholders for policy development and information sharing. Requirements • Nine years of full-time professional work experience in a related field, including three years of professional program management experience and five years of supervisory experience. • A bachelor's degree in early childhood education, educational leadership, sociology, psychology, social work, political science, human services, public or business administration, or a closely related field, along with five years of relevant work experience.
