Reporting to the Art Director, in this role you will execute key designs and create original concepts. This position is responsible for maintaining the show style and ensuring that the designs work within the story specifications. Find a job that lets your imagination run wild! Responsibilities & Qualifications What You'll Do: Work with the Art Director and other Designers to create original, engaging, performable characters and props according to the style of the production Translate character description and attitude from script to visual design Submit multiple design variations and revisions based on feedback from Directors. Keep designs manageable and complete work within the scheduled timeframe. Organize and manage work and files efficiently Other tasks and responsibilities as required for completion of the project What You'll Bring: You have a strong understanding of proportion, balance, perspective, dimension and dynamism. Strong drawing and colour fundamentals. You are able to take direction and work collaboratively within a team You have the ability to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas You are well-organized with good time management skills Design experience in 2D or CG episodic animation Nice to Have Strong drawing ability and a solid sense of design for 2D or CG animation Experience in character rotations on a series preferred Degree/Diploma from a recognized animation school This is a Union position and the terms and conditions of employment are covered by a collective agreement. Why WildBrain Pay Range: Union minimum $1150 - $1725 CAD, per week based on a 40-hour work week. Candidates are paid within the range posted, but their exact pay will vary based on the level, responsibilities and expectations of the role.
