About This Role We are seeking a visionary and technically strong Director of Cloud and DevOps Platforms to lead the strategy, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade cloud and DevOps capabilities. This leader will function as a core service provider to digital leaders across the enterprise, both within and outside the Digital team, driving an experience of deep alignment and partnership with a service-oriented mindset. The role will champion a platform-as-a-product approach, enabling digital and enterprise product teams to accelerate innovation through automated infrastructure services, FinOps insights and automation, and observability services. The ideal candidate will bring deep engineering expertise, a strong enterprise cloud and DevOps background, and a passion for automation and agile delivery. They will lead with a product mindset, building scalable, self-service platforms that empower development teams to deliver secure, reliable, and efficient applications. Key Responsibilities Platform Product Leadership • Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for cloud and DevOps platforms. • Drive adoption of a platform-as-a-product mindset across infrastructure and engineering teams. • Build a catalog of automated infrastructure foundations, self-service provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, and container patterns for microservices applications. Strategic Partnerships • Develop deep partnerships with digital product and enterprise software engineering teams. • Understand dependencies, priorities, and technical diversity across teams. • Tailor platform solutions that balance common services with alignment to varying technology stacks and patterns. Cloud & DevOps Engineering • Lead the development and delivery of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native platforms. • Ensure platforms support rapid development, deployment, and operations across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. • Integrate observability, security, and compliance into platform capabilities. AI-Driven Automation & DevOps Experience • Leverage AI to simplify the DevOps experience and enhance developer productivity. • Deliver intelligent automation that streamlines infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD workflows, and operational tasks. • Provide predictive insights and proactive recommendations to improve reliability, security, and efficiency. FinOps Leadership • Drive enterprise-wide cloud cost optimization efforts in partnership with CIOs and finance leaders. • Deliver FinOps automation, reporting, and governance capabilities to improve cloud spend transparency and accountability. DevOps Community Building • Establish and lead a DevOps Council to foster collaboration, feedback, and shared ownership across teams. • Promote crowdsourcing, knowledge sharing, and training initiatives to build a vibrant DevOps culture. • Provide data-driven insights and automation tools to help teams improve reliability, security, and cost efficiency in Day 2 operations. Agile Product Practices • Use community feedback to inform platform roadmaps and backlogs. • Drive sprint-based agile delivery with regular releases, demos, and iterative testing. • Partner with DevOps teams to ensure adoption and continuous improvement of platform capabilities. • Curate an enterprise-grade internal marketplace of reusable patterns, services, and tools that accelerate development and operations. Team Leadership • Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, product managers, and architects using agile methodologies. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, and innovation. • Mentor and grow talent within the cloud and DevOps organization. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree. • 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering. • 5+ years of experience working with one or more of the hyper-scalers (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP). • 5+ years of people leadership experience. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience implementing a product model and providing self-service cloud capabilities. • Experience driving cloud cost optimization and maturing cloud operations. • Proven track record of leading platform product teams in large-scale enterprise environments. • Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), infrastructure as code, CI/CD, containers, and Kubernetes. • Experience with observability tools (e.g.,Logic Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana) and FinOps practices. • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and product management principles. • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills. The annual salary salary for this position is between $174,250 - $243,750. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
