Duties & Responsibilities Purpose of Position: Under general direction, with considerable latitude for independent judgment and initiative, develops, plans and establishes training, educational and development programs to enhance skills, remedy deficiencies, upgrade human resources and meet forecasted skill requirements of the System. Manages and administers the daytoday activities of the group training section, including planning, supervision, coordination, control and direction of the training section/group. • Manages the development and presentation of the management, professional, technical and education training continuum, which consists of courses, seminars and workshops on a wide range of topics, practice and skills. • Provides consulting on management problems, specialized training and development needs and the use of outside educational resources. • Directs research to determine management and employee training and education needs. • Develops and conducts programs to support training needs identified by line and staff management. • Manages the investigation and recommendation of external general management and professional development programs for high potential senior management. • Directs extensive consulting to managers on individual management problems, specialized education and training needs. Directs development of customized training programs to satisfy the operational needs of the System. • Responsible for several training, development and educational support systems, participant enrollment, program administration, procedures, tracking systems and materials development and distribution. • Evaluates effectiveness of training and development programs and makes recommendations regarding modifications and new programs. • Coordinates the activities of the training sector with those of other training sector groups. Monitors the activities of the unit. • Supervises, directs and evaluates the efforts of training specialists, analysts and support staff. Ascertains current status of program implementation. Provides technical advice and guidance. • Evaluates staffing, unit assignments, work performance and special personnel problems in order to maximize operating efficiency. • Supervises program implementation, develops training programs for implementation and followup systems to assure effectiveness and attainment of objectives. Minimum Qualifications • A Baccalaureate Degree with a major in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Accounting or related field. • Six years of fulltime experience in computer operations, three years of which shall have been in a managerial or supervisory capacity. • A broad knowledge of the latest technology relating to computers, operating system functions and I/O controls. • An equivalent combination of education and experience. Department Preferences • Effective leadership and analytical skills including working knowledge of financial statement analysis, staffing models, scheduling, and opportunities. • Exceptional ability to develop and manage resultsoriented recruiting and training programs. • Measurable experience in managing and growing satisfied accounts and/or relevant account management experience. • Strong mentoring and relationship building skills with ability to effectively manage group and interpersonal conflict situations. • Professional and effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills. • Highly detailoriented with the ability to properly prioritize. • Proven experience managing metrics, ensuring customer satisfaction, and reporting statistical performance levels related to teams performance, preferably in a contact center environment. • 5+ years of customer service, support or sales management experience, preferable in a contact center environment. • 5+ years experience being responsible for revenue and production goals. • Strong proficiency in MS Office, Microsoft Visio, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, Electronic Health Records System (EPIC).
