Ecommerce UX/UI Designer (CRO-Focused) – Shopify Experience Required
We’re looking for a conversion-focused ecommerce UX/UI designer to help elevate our Shopify site. This role is design-first. You will not be building the site or selling CRO services. Your job is to take our existing website, improve the design, tighten the storytelling, and create high-end, implementation-ready Figma mockups that we can hand off to a developer (If you are capable of development that can be discussed). We want someone who understands ecommerce psychology, visual hierarchy, and Shopify constraints, not someone who just makes things “look nice.” Our brand sits at the intersection of performance, premium, and athlete-led storytelling. What You’ll Do: • Audit our existing Shopify site (UX + visual hierarchy) • Redesign key pages with a CRO-first mindset • Create mobile-first Figma mockups for: • Homepage • Collection page(s) • Product detail page (PDP) – highest priority • Cart / mini-cart experience Improve: • Above-the-fold clarity • Product storytelling flow • Trust & social proof placement • Add-to-cart visibility and usability Deliver implementation-ready designs with clear annotations for developers What We’re NOT Looking For • CRO agencies or audit services • Ongoing optimization retainers • A/B testing packages •Generic graphic designers • Developers pitching to “handle everything” • This is a design + thinking role, not an agency upsell. Required Experience: • Proven experience designing ecommerce websites • Strong Shopify UX/UI knowledge • Deep understanding of conversion-driven design principles • Ability to design within Shopify constraints • Strong Figma skills (components, responsive layouts, handoff clarity) • Experience working alongside developers Nice to Have: • DTC brand experience (fashion, sports, or performance brands a plus) • Experience redesigning high-converting PDPs • Familiarity with premium / minimalist ecommerce aesthetics Project Structure: Phase 1 (Paid Test): • PDP redesign only • Figma mockups + annotations Phase 2 (If a good fit): • Full site system (homepage, collections, cart) • Design system components Budget: • Open to fair market rates based on experience. This is a paid test project, with potential for expanded work. To Apply (Important) Please include: • Links to 2–3 ecommerce projects you’ve designed • A short explanation of why your designs convert • Your experience designing for Shopify specifically • Confirmation you understand this is design-only (no dev, no CRO services) • Applicants who do not include ecommerce examples will not be considered.
