The Emerging Leaders Development Program is an 18-month rotational leadership development program designed for recent graduates to gain real-world experience across various business areas and build relationships with senior executives. Responsibilities Learn, understand, and work towards fulfilling our mission, which is to help our clients secure their financial well-being so they can pursue long and fulfilling lives; and execute on our business strategies Gain real world experience by working in different roles and business areas at Equitable. This exposure will provide insights into what you enjoy doing and help inform your career choices going forward Participate in a vigorous learning and development program, focusing on industry and business knowledge as well as technical skills Build relationships with senior executives at Equitable through one on one mentorship Network with senior leaders across the organization Work in the Innovation and Design Office focusing on business optimization aligned with Equitable’s Way of Working, gaining skills in executing on critical business priorities, as well as executive presentations, market research and quantitative analysis Work in the Finance Department, which includes Business Partners, Treasury, Equitable Investment Management, Investor Relations, Office of the CFO, Financial Planning & Analysis and Audit to gain hands-on experience with financial modeling, management reporting and executive dashboards Work in one of our commercial businesses to learn about the products and advice we offer our clients and what differentiates Equitable in the marketplace, which could include providing product development and sales support, conducting competitive intelligence, and assessing new business ventures Skills Recently earned (within 1-2 years) Bachelor's degree Accountability: Understanding the importance of taking personal responsibility; ability to take personal responsibility for assignments, decisions and results, and focus on activities that have the greatest impact on meeting work commitments Cross-functional Collaboration: Knowledge of collaborative techniques and approaches; ability to promote a culture of continuous improvement and working together across functions to solve business problems and meet business goals Data Gathering and Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques and processes; ability to gather and analyze data on the learning needs of a target population Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors Effective Presentations: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques; ability to present information to groups with the appropriate degree of formality Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations Storytelling: Knowledge of concepts and ability to plan, create and present business proposals, initiatives and ideas by storytelling actual business scenarios that are situation-specific, engaging, memorable and persuasive as compared to one-way, fact-based presentations Written Communications: Knowledge of written communications issues; ability to produce a variety of business documents that demonstrate command of language, clarity of thought, orderliness of presentation while communicating ideas, information and requirements effectively Benefits Medical Dental Vision A 401(k) plan Paid time off Company Overview Equitable provides consulting services to secure the financial well-being and retirement strategies for individuals and families.
