About the position T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Engineer, Radio Frequency is located in Bellevue, WA and will support coverage, capacity, and performance planning and optimization on the T-Mobile network. Telecommuting is permitted 100% of the time. No additional national or international travel is anticipated. Responsibilities • Participate in development, testing, and validation of RF feature plan proposals. • Follow implementation guidelines for approved new features and technologies. • Apply engineering principles to site design, upgrades and network coverage optimization, performance, and capacity. • Serve as a technical subject matter expert and may be required to do in depth analysis of new features and technologies. • Mentor Associate Radio Frequency (RF) Engineers for technical growth. • Work on technical assignments that are semi routine in nature but recognizes that need for occasional deviation from accepted practice. • Address customer and employee complaints related to the network. • Review and address radio network key performance indicators (KPI) for the network. Requirements • Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or related, and 1 year of relevant work experience. • Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience. • Experience in performance optimization and troubleshooting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as accessibility, mobility, retainability, integrity, and throughput for 4G/5G Networks. • Configuring, implementing, troubleshooting, and monitoring performance for parameter and feature trials on 4G/5G technologies. • Understand and apply design and performance KPIs in new element planning for market budgets. • Utilize 4G/5G Layer Management Strategy parameters and optimal settings to optimize frequency bands for customer experience. • Utilizing design, configuration, and troubleshooting tests for PIM (Passive Intermodulation), RSSI (Receive Signal Strength Indicator), and External Uplink Interference. • Shell script creation and implementation to perform network changes.
