Who We Are Looking For We're looking for a highly motivated and driven individual to join our team as an Entry Level Claims Adjuster. As a claims adjuster, you will be responsible for recovering payments for damage claims involving utility company equipment and facilities in a call center environment. You will interact with homeowners, business owners, contractors, insurance companies, and utility company field technicians. Key Responsibilities Investigate claims issues and provide information to damagers, including homeowners and contractors Negotiate settlements with damagers and insurance companies as applicable Review claim information and request/research additional reference material to complete the claim record Determine damager liability by obtaining and reviewing evidence, including physical location information, photographs, reports, locate tickets, permit records, internet research, and contact with damagers Dispute resolution and respond to damager objections Provide detailed data entry into customized claims systems Track fees, close and open claims, and other claims information Skip tracing as necessary; utilizing internet resources Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: Excellent attendance and punctuality Accurate data review and data entry skills Time management and ability to prioritize work Organized, thorough, and detail-oriented Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work independently with minimal supervision High-speed internet service required Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment Knowledge of insurance adjusting principles and practices Experience with claims software and systems Education and Experience Requirements We require a High School diploma or equivalent, and 0-2 years of clerical and/or data input experience. No insurance adjusting experience is required, as we'll provide on-going training and opportunity to obtain insurance adjuster licensure. What We Offer We offer a competitive salary and bonus structure, with a base pay of $15.00 per hour, plus monthly bonuses based on performance. Our bonus system allows you to determine how much you can make, with bonuses paid out each month.
