Job Summary As an entry-level Data Scientist, Product, you will be part of our Information Researcher group in the Applied AI group, working closely with our product development team to drive the data-driven product development culture for our consumer products or developer platforms. You will be responsible for defining our north-star metrics, designing and executing A/B tests, and establishing source-of-truth dashboards that the entire organization can use to answer product questions. This is a unique opportunity to be a key member of our product development team and contribute to the development of our first-party offerings. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the product development team as a trusted partner to uncover new ways to improve the product and drive innovation Design and interpret A/B tests to answer critical questions about the impact of model and UX changes to our product Establish a data-driven product development culture by defining, tracking, and operationalizing feature, product, and company-level metrics Develop and socialize dashboards, reports, and alternative approaches to empowering the team and company to answer product data questions in a self-serve way Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, statistics, mathematics) 4+ years of experience in a quantitative role, preferably as a founding data scientist or product expert at a hyper-growth product organization or research institution Proven experience in proposing, designing, and running thorough analyses with clear insights and product recommendations using SQL and Python Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with product managers, engineers, and executives Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively Preferred Qualifications Experience in NLP, large language models, or generative AI Strong programming background, with the ability to run simulations and model variations Experience validating quantitative insights with qualitative methods (e.g., surveys, UXR) Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a unique combination of technical, business, and interpersonal skills.
