Entry Level Fire Protection Engineer - Summer 2026

As an Entry Level Fire Protection Engineer, you will work with experienced engineers to design fire protection systems for various building projects, gaining valuable skills and experience in the process. Responsibilities Work alongside a robust staff of experienced and licensed Fire Protection Engineers to develop and use your skills and experience Deliver and complete challenging and engaging buildings projects across many different markets such as Commercial, Federal, Mission Critical, and Advanced Facilities projects Work on the design and production of fire sprinkler systems, special hazards suppression systems, fire pumps, fire alarm and mass notification, and building/life safety codes analysis under the guidance of a knowledgeable team of experienced Fire Protection Engineers Skills Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Safety Technology or relevant degree Good interpersonal skills Good verbal and written communication skills United States Citizenship 3.0 GPA Working knowledge of Revit and/or Autocad A previous internship related to your field of study Familiarity with NFPA and ICC codes and standards Willingness to travel to jobs sites around the world Fire Protection or Building Code/Life Safety experience Benefits Medical Dental Vision Basic life insurance 401(k) plan The ability to purchase company stock at a discount Deferred compensation plan Executive Deferral Plan Unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time salaried/exempt employees Seven paid holidays One floating holiday Caregiver leave Merit increases Performance discretionary bonus Stock Company Overview Jacobs leads the global professional services sector delivering solutions for a more connected, sustainable world.
