Entry-Level Traffic/ITS Engineer

The Entry-Level Traffic and Intelligent Transportation Systems Engineer will support planning studies, review development proposals, and conduct field evaluations under supervision. Responsibilities Supports planning studies and reports for new and updated plans, programs and regulations Reviews or assists in the review of development proposals and site plans for conformance with codes, plans and regulations Prepares and presents detailed reports on development proposals to government bodies Collects a variety of statistical data and prepares reports and maps on topics, such as census information, land use, transportation tax base data and occupancy rates Under direct supervision, conducts field evaluations and assessments Skills Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field Valid U.S. Driver's License, and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review 0-2 years of Traffic/Transportation/ITS-related internship or work experience Engineer in Training certification MicroStation/AutoCAD experience Strong communication skills Applicable course work and demonstrated interest in Transportation/Traffic Engineering and/or Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Experience with Synchro and HCS traffic analysis software, Bentley Softwares such as Microstation or OpenRoads Designer and Microsoft Office Prior design experience with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission as it relates to traffic engineering, signal design, ITS design, plan production, project estimates and specifications Benefits Medical Dental Vision Life AD&D Disability benefits Paid time off Leaves of absences Voluntary benefits Perks Flexible work options Well-being resources Employee assistance program Business travel insurance Service recognition awards Retirement savings plan Employee stock purchase plan Company Overview AECOM is a global provider of professional technical and management support services to a broad range of markets.
