About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and technically inclined Entry Level/Trainee Merchandising Technician to join our team. As a key member of our merchandising team, you will have the opportunity to work with our senior technicians, learning the ins and outs of installing, troubleshooting, merchandising, and maintaining interactive consumer electronic displays and devices within retail locations. Key Responsibilities Assist senior technicians with break-fix, installation, and maintenance work, as well as general merchandising tasks Install, build, and maintain displays, end caps, fixturing, and planogram resets Conduct break-fix repairs and troubleshoot issues with electronic displays and devices Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless execution of merchandising projects Upload photos and data using an Android or Apple mobile device to track progress and showcase your work Utilize hand tools frequently to complete tasks efficiently Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should possess the following essential qualifications: Be at least 18 years old (due to insurance requirements) Hold a current Driver's License, insurance, and have access to a vehicle for traveling to retail locations Have previous merchandising or retail experience (preferred but not required, as we provide comprehensive training) Be technically inclined, with a passion for learning and problem-solving Excel in communication via phone, text, and email Be adaptable and flexible, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges Have an Android or Apple mobile device for uploading photos and data Be available to work flexible hours, Monday through Friday Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following backgrounds and skills are highly desirable: Electronics repair and troubleshooting experience (professional or hobbyist) Merchandising experience, including setting up displays and managing inventory IT or information technology background (professional or hobbyist) Security systems installation and maintenance experience Home improvement or DIY experience, including installing TVs or other electronic devices Factory or warehouse experience, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail Fast food or retail experience, with excellent customer service skills Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and competencies: Strong technical skills, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Workwarp and MTI, we are committed to helping our team members grow and develop their skills.
