Environmental Protection Compliance Specialist
About the position The Environmental Protection Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring adherence to environmental regulations related to non-point source pollution, erosion and sediment control, and violations concerning waterways and wetlands. This role involves evaluating compliance with the Clean Streams Law and the Dam Safety and Encroachment Act, as well as preparing formal enforcement measures. The specialist will also provide training and technical support to field staff to enhance their understanding and execution of these regulations. Responsibilities • Ensure compliance with regulations concerning non-point source pollution, erosion and sediment control, and violations related to waterways and wetlands. • Evaluate compliance with the Clean Streams Law and the Dam Safety and Encroachment Act. • Prepare formal enforcement measures as necessary. • Train and provide technical support to field staff regarding environmental regulations. Requirements • One year of professional experience as a Sanitarian, Air Quality Specialist, Solid Waste Specialist, or Water Quality Specialist. • Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. • Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Benefits • Full-time position with a salary range of $58,035.00 - $88,235.00 annually. • Opportunity for telework up to 3 days a week, provided a secure high-speed internet connection is available. • Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break.
