This is a near-term remote opportunity with our client! We are actively seeking State and Local Government Contracts Attorneys located anywhere in the United States with the following qualifications: • Minimum of 5-15 years of experience in government contracts law, with a focus on state and local government contracts. • Experience negotiating a wide array of complex contracts with federal agencies, state governments, and corporations. • Demonstrated understanding of US government contracting regulations, compliance, and requirements. • Experience ensuring that regulatory compliance adhered to with federal, state, and city governments. • JD Degree from an accredited institution. • Active bar license in good standing in the state in which you currently reside. • Epiq Counsel partners with industry-leading clients in support of their sophisticated interim talent needs. Must be interested in practicing in an alternative, fixed-term legal services model. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in the transportation or technology industry. Support our multinational corporate client on the following: • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with state and local government entities, including service agreements, procurement contracts, and amendments. Ensure contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. • Provide legal advice and guidance on state and local government procurement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements. • Monitor changes in laws and regulations that impact government contracts and ensure ongoing compliance. • Identify potential legal risks in contracts and develop strategies to mitigate those risks. • Work closely with internal stakeholders to address and resolve contractual issues and disputes. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment on contract terms and conditions.
