Estimator - Fall Protection
Estimator Position Overview The Estimator will be responsible for evaluating project costs and preparing detailed estimates for construction projects. This role involves collaborating with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure accurate and competitive bids that meet client specifications and budgetary requirements. Key Responsibilities • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on project plans and specifications. • Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. • Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to review project requirements and adjust estimates as necessary. • Negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive bidding. • Assist in preparing bid proposals and presentations for clients. • Maintain historical data and cost databases for future estimating purposes. • Monitor project budgets and provide regular updates to management on any variances. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. • Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry. • Strong knowledge of construction processes and fall protection standards. • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
