Job Overview The Accounting and Data Entry Clerk is responsible for inputting, updating, and maintaining financial and administrative data in an accurate and timely manner. Key Responsibilities Data Entry: Accurately input financial data, such as invoices, expense reports, payments, and purchase orders, into accounting software or databases, ensuring all entries are complete and properly categorized. Record Keeping: Maintain and update records of financial transactions, ensuring all entries are complete and properly categorized, and easily accessible for audit purposes. Invoice Processing: Enter and verify invoice details, assist with accounts payable/receivable tasks, and ensure timely processing of payments, while maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements, credit card transactions, or other financial accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. Document Management: Scan, file, and organize digital or physical financial documents for easy retrieval and audit purposes, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail. Report Preparation: Compile basic financial reports or summaries as requested by supervisors, such as expense tracking or budget updates, providing valuable insights into our financial performance. Compliance: Ensure data entry aligns with blithequark's policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations, maintaining the highest level of compliance and integrity. Error Checking: Review entries for accuracy, identify mistakes, and correct them promptly to maintain reliable records, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. Communication: Collaborate with team members or vendors to clarify information or resolve issues related to financial data, providing excellent customer service and support. Software Proficiency: Utilize tools like QuickBooks, Excel, or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to perform tasks efficiently, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and software. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will possess: Strong attention to detail and accuracy: A high level of attention to detail, with the ability to accurately input and maintain financial data. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and accounting software: Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks.
