Job Summary As an Airport Customer Service Agent at blithequark, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing them with a warm and welcoming experience. Your primary responsibility will be to assist passengers with their travel needs, resolve issues, and ensure that their experience at the airport is nothing short of exceptional. Key Responsibilities Assist passengers with their baggage pick-up, including resolving issues with delayed, lost, or damaged items Utilize computer software to track and catalog luggage, ensuring that all items are accounted for and returned to their rightful owners Handle customer interactions with professionalism and courtesy, providing timely and effective solutions to their queries and concerns Perform other related duties as assigned, including tasks that require physical effort, such as lifting and carrying heavy items Collaborate with other team members to ensure that the airport operates efficiently and safely, providing a seamless experience for all passengers Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High School diploma or GED Valid In-State Driver's License Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a 10-year background check Must be at least 18 years of age and have the authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 Ability to complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy items, including weights of up to 70 pounds Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in customer-facing roles, particularly in the aviation industry Knowledge of airport operations and procedures Ability to speak multiple languages, including Spanish, Mandarin, or other languages commonly spoken by our passengers Experience with computer software and technology, including baggage tracking systems Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the safety and security of all passengers Physical and mental stamina to work in a demanding environment, including the ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
