As an Analytics Specialist, you will work closely with senior leaders and business stakeholders to identify opportunities, develop creative solutions, and implement data-driven strategies that drive results. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis and Insights: Locate and extract data from various sources, aggregate views of data sources into meaningful hierarchies, and create accountability tools such as scorecards and performance reviews that focus on KPIs that drive the business. Reporting and Visualization: Develop and improve automated reports and analyses to support senior divisional leaders and business units, and create insightful executive-level and frontline dashboards using data visualization tools. Strategic Partnership: Work closely with business leaders to understand drivers of KPIs, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop solutions that drive business outcomes. Communication and Presentation: Present findings to business leadership, communicate complex data insights effectively, and drive decision-making through data-driven storytelling. Safety and Security: Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures, and prioritize the safety and security of self, others, and personal data. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: 3+ years of experience in analysis, information science, data visualization, or other relevant quantitative field. Familiarity with data analysis tools such as SQL, SAS, R, Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, Spotfire, or other database interface tools and languages. Strong analytical and process skills , with a track record of seeking leadership roles and driving improvement in analytical support. Excellent communication and collaboration skills , with the ability to work effectively in group and individual settings. Basic functional programming skills in Visual Basic, Perl, Python, UNIX, or other relevant programming tools. High school diploma or equivalent , and authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications To give you a competitive edge, Delta Air Lines prefers candidates with: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Business/Management, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, or other relevant quantitative field.
