**Experienced and Compassionate Classroom Aide – Early Childhood Education and Developmental Support Specialist**

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Classroom Aide to support our early childhood education programs. As a Classroom Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment, delivering learning materials to parents, and conducting screenings and assessments with children. Key Responsibilities Participate in lesson planning, teaching, and supervision of the classroom, and direct the class in the absence of the teacher. Participate in developmental screenings and assist teacher, families, and specialists in developing and implementing individual education plans for each child. Participate in lesson planning weekly with teacher oversight and complete Individual Child Profiles (Teaching Strategies GOLD online checkpoint assessment) for all children. Ensure that work samples are up to date for all children and provide families with information through phone calls, newsletters, and lesson plans. Encourage families to participate in classroom activities, including home visits and parent-teacher conferences. Ensure completion of all home visits and conferences for your classroom with families to meet Head Start mandates. Attend and assist in Back to School Night, and other parent meetings or parent committees as requested. Complete daily paperwork (attendance, Record of Meals (ROMs)) accurately and ensure that numbers are totaled and paperwork is ready for pick up on time monthly. Assist with classroom preparation, storage, cleanup, and minor maintenance, following the daily and weekly cleaning protocols. Attend program in-services, pertinent community conferences, and workshops, and obtain at least 15 early childhood education-related training hours to foster professional growth. Maintain Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP), anti-bias, and Dual Language Learners (DLL) environment which reflects Best Practice for an early learning environment. Support site-level needs as requested by Education Manager, including kitchen duties as requested to ensure program operations when staff absences arise. Perform related work, as required, and may be reassigned during emergency situations. Essential Qualifications We are looking for a highly qualified candidate who possesses the following essential qualifications: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. A background check and fingerprinting are required. A pre-employment physical is required. CPR/First Aid certification is required (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire). Preferred Qualifications We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following preferred qualifications: Acquire and maintain TS GOLD Inner Rater Reliability. One year (1,820 hours) of verified experience with preschool children. A current CDA (Child Development Associate) or willingness to enroll in a CDA program, upon hire, to be completed within 1 year. Skills and Competencies We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following skills and competencies: Ability to use a computer with basic skills in Microsoft Office Products and internet-based assessment system or willingness to learn. Ability to work as a part of a team, channeling communications appropriately. Ability to relate well to children and adults from diverse backgrounds. Professional work ethics, including an understanding of confidentiality.
