Job Overview and Responsibilities As a Home Care Aide at HumanGood, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to our residents in their private residences. Your primary focus will be on assisting residents with daily living activities, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life. Your responsibilities will include: Providing assistance with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene Preparing meals and assisting with dining activities as needed Escorting residents to medical and social appointments, stores, or running errands on their behalf Assisting with planning and participation in social activities to promote engagement and community involvement Performing home management tasks such as housekeeping, laundry, and sorting mail Developing awareness of residents' interests and needs to provide tailored support and care Maintaining accurate records and reporting any unusual symptoms or problems to supervisors Providing effective customer service and ensuring that residents' needs are met with empathy and understanding Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills: A strong passion for working with seniors and a commitment to providing exceptional care and support Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and colleagues Basic computer skills and proficiency in using software applications to input resident information Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA privacy rules and company policies Physical ability to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Preferred Qualifications and Experience While not required, the following preferred qualifications and experience will be considered an asset: Previous experience working in a healthcare or senior living setting Certification as a Home Care Aide or completion of a training program in a related field Knowledge of gerontology and aging processes to provide informed and sensitive care Experience with electronic medical records and other software applications used in healthcare settings Bilingual or multilingual skills to support residents with diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At HumanGood, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our employees.
