Job Overview As a Lead Teacher at Childcare Network, you will be responsible for leading a team of educators in providing exceptional care and education to children aged six weeks to twelve years. Key Responsibilities Provide and maintain a safe, warm, and inviting classroom environment that is clean and organized, adhering to all minimum licensing, quality rated, and/or accreditation guidelines and company standards. Communicate daily with families regarding student progress or needs, encouraging partnership and support, and developing strong professional relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Maintain a high-quality standard of care for every child, utilizing our science-based, proprietary curriculum and suggested supplement activities to create a fun and engaging learning environment tailored to each child's developmental needs. Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children, ensuring a nutritious and healthy diet. Keep daily records, including attendance, child portfolios, USDA documentation, and other records required by local agencies, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information. Contribute to the center's success by partnering with team members and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditations, and family engagement, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and teamwork. Essential Qualifications Genuine warmth and understanding of the needs of young children and their families, with a positive attitude and self-image. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, parents, and children. 1-3 years of teaching experience or certification, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. High School Diploma or GED required, with a preference for early childhood education or a related field. Must pass the state-required criminal background check and meet all state certifications and requirements. Preferred Qualifications Early childhood education certification or degree, with a focus on child development and education. Experience working with children aged six weeks to twelve years, with a strong understanding of child development stages and milestones. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of educators. Experience with science-based, proprietary curriculum and suggested supplement activities, with a commitment to innovative and engaging teaching practices.
