In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a high-performing team of hourly workforce members, driving safety, quality, attendance, and performance while maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Role Overview and Responsibilities As an Area Manager at our JFK8 Amazon Fulfillment Center, you will be responsible for supporting, mentoring, and motivating your team during their shifts to ensure that we maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will also play a key role in maintaining our customer expectations, ensuring that customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location. Our Operations workflow is divided into three major components: First mile, Middle mile, and Last mile, each with its unique challenges and opportunities. As an Area Manager, you will be expected to navigate these components seamlessly, collaborating with all support teams, including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources, to develop plans that meet our business objectives. Key Responsibilities and Job Elements: Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce to achieve their full potential Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises, ensuring that we maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction Collaborate with all support teams, including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources, to develop plans that meet our business objectives Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, as required by the role Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts, as required by the role Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud, with variable temperatures and weather conditions Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs), as required by the role Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of essential and preferred qualifications.
