Job Summary: Assistant Night Manager - Full Time As an Assistant Night Manager at BJ's Wholesale Club, you will play a critical role in overseeing the club and directing the work of the overnight team in the absence of the Night Manager. Your primary focus will be on coaching, teaching, and developing all overnight team members to ensure excellent member service through effective merchandising. You will be responsible for driving business results, leading through change, and modeling leadership competencies that build credibility and drive business growth. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the club and direct the work of the overnight team in the absence of the Night Manager. Coach, teach, and develop all overnight team members to ensure excellent member service through effective merchandising. Lead through change and model leadership competencies that build credibility and drive business growth. Communicate effectively with team members, providing the information they need to be successful. Build high-performing teams by creating a culture of collaboration and driving team member engagement. Deliver results by executing business expectations within expected timeframes. Ensure merchandise is properly displayed, has appropriate signage, and is available for sale in proper quantities throughout the club. Follow and execute company directives related to merchandising, resets, and sales initiatives. Maintain all club policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation guidelines. Operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner, inspecting equipment prior to use and following established safety standards. Utilize online task management systems to manage workflow, track, and monitor daily club operations. Essential Qualifications: Valid Driver's License required. Forklift operator certification (will be certified by BJ's). At least 18 years of age. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including supervising cross-functional teams, training team members, and driving and communicating results. Prior forklift operating and merchandising experience required. High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or big box wholesale, retail, grocery, and/or management experience preferred. Open shift availability required. Preferred Skills and Competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Proficient in using online task management systems and other relevant software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You'll need to be able to lift objects up to 30 pounds and be willing to work in a variety of temperatures, including freezer and cooler units. Pay Range: The pay range for this position is starting from $20.00. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.
