Job Overview As an Associate Network Security Engineer at blithequark, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing security measures to protect the company's network infrastructure, applications, and data. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the functional maintainability of blithequark's systems, supporting internal, partner, vendor, and external network access, and maintaining the highest levels of security and compliance. Key Responsibilities Provide design and implementation services to ensure the functional maintainability of blithequark's network infrastructure and applications Support IT operations, including firewall hardware and software maintenance, site implementations, inventories, system planning, preventive maintenance, and break/fix services in data center critical infrastructure Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align client-edge security technology with user-centric approaches, utilizing advanced technologies like Application ID and User ID for granular user identification Ensure compliance with all governing corporate policies and regulations, suggesting and implementing departmental policies, guidelines, principles, and procedures as needed Project manage data center and remote communication room standards, capital upgrades, renovations, and improvements, guaranteeing accurate documentation, optimal product and service pricing, and vendor compliance with contractual obligations Support the IT Data Security Division in maintaining the integrity and service continuity of enterprise data and applications, providing operational support for potential emergencies and critical facilities and infrastructure components for Network Security Essential and Preferred Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. A strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, and security protocols, is essential. Experience with cloud networking and security principles is also desirable.
