Experienced Aviation Safety Analyst – Remote Data Entry and Safety Management System Support

As a Safety Analyst at blithequark, you will be an integral part of our Safety department, supporting various individuals in processing reports, gathering data, generating reports, following up on corrective actions, investigating incidents, and participating in special projects as assigned. Safety Analyst Overview This role is responsible for supporting the Safety department in the development and implementation of Safety Management System (SMS) data collection structures and other techniques that optimize processes and systems used to determine compliance with regulatory and internal requirements, as well as ordinary business best practices. The Safety Analyst will act as a subject matter expert for Safety Programs, collaborate with Safety Department Managers regarding safety activities, and review, process, and analyze all reports received via the safety reporting system. Essential Roles and Responsibilities Acts as a subject matter expert for Safety Programs and collaborates with Safety Department Managers concerning safety activities Reviews, processes, and analyzes all reports received via the safety reporting system (Operational/Irregularity, ASAP, Fatigue) Analyzes technical data from hazards, incidents, and occurrences, and identifies and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets Acts as a safety auditor for the Internal Evaluation Program, Safety Investigations, and high-risk areas of operations Tracks, analyzes, and interprets data outputs from the Company's safety programs Assists in the management of the company databases for the purpose of enhanced airline safety Assists the Safety Team in any necessary investigations Provides technical expertise to Management regarding data models, database design development, and data mining Prepares relevant reports and communicates safety-related data to managers and line employees in support of the Safety Management System (SMS) Assists in the development, implementation, and management of the Company's Safety Management System (SMS) Will act as a member of the Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) Monitoring Team, oversee aircraft data collection (along with Technical Operations), perform FOQA data analysis and trend identification Maintains FOQA Database and ensures organization compliance with FOQA guide Assists in the continuous development of the risk identification and safety risk assessment schemes of the Company Prepares studies and research regarding aviation safety trends Any other duties assigned by management Qualifications The ideal candidate for this role will have knowledge of Aviation Safety programs (ASAP, FOQA, LOSA, FRMP, IEP, VDRP), operational familiarity with Flight Operations, Dispatch, Inflight, and Maintenance, and knowledge of aircraft systems, minimum equipment lists, aircraft dispatch procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations. Additionally, the candidate should have knowledge of Safety Management System requirements, risk management, safety assurance, safety reporting, and safety promotion.
