Job Overview and Key Responsibilities As a Language of Destination (LOD) Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our passengers, ensuring that their travel experience is seamless and enjoyable. You will work as part of a team to provide support and guidance to customers, responding to their queries and resolving any issues that may arise during their journey. Your duties will include greeting customers, assisting with ticketing and baggage check-in, managing the check-in process, and ensuring that customers have the necessary travel documentation. Your key responsibilities will include: Greeting customers and assisting them with the ticketing and baggage check-in process Using a computer to sell, print, and reissue tickets Managing the check-in process and ensuring that customers have the proper travel documentation Tagging baggage and performing lifting tasks that involve transferring baggage from scales to conveyor belts Practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures Assisting customers with routing, trip planning, and gate boarding as a Gate Agent Using computers to assist customers with seat availability, making gate announcements, and managing the boarding process Operating jet ways and lifting, opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to pass a standardized language assessment (verbal and written) A high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency Authorization to work in the United States Strong verbal and written communication skills using appropriate grammar, tone, and pronunciation Basic computer skills Ability to lift bags or items weighing up to and including 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally lift bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds Willingness to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to pass a physical ability test (PAT) and hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge in this role: Previous ticketing experience Experience working in a customer-facing role, preferably in the aviation industry Knowledge of airline operations and procedures Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations Skills and Competencies To succeed as a Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems and technologies Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
