Job Overview We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business and Data Analytics Co-op to join our Mission Systems Quality organization for the Spring/Summer 2025 session. As a co-op, you will have the opportunity to work full-time, Monday-Friday, from January to August, and gain hands-on experience in data analytics and quality metrics. This is an excellent opportunity for students in the field of data analytics and/or programming to learn about how Operations organizations utilize Quality-related metrics to analyze and determine key drivers of customer and product quality. Key Responsibilities Analyze data sources to understand how to more efficiently pull information from multiple heritage business systems Learn Quality-related metrics such as product acceptance (Defective Parts per Million); Scrap, Rework & Repair (SRR), On-time Delivery, Supplier Escapes Help automate the retrieval of data from multiple sources to improve stakeholder efficiencies Work with Data Strategy and Analytics Specialist to build proactive reports that allow leaders to better analyze key trends in the business What You Will Learn Data Manipulation: You will gain proficiency in using various models for data manipulation, including transforming, aggregating, and visualizing data to extract meaningful insights Tools and Technologies: You will utilize Excel, SQL, Python, and Power BI to combine and present multiple data sources, essential for data analysis and visualization Traditional and Innovative Methods: You will explore both traditional data collection methods and those incorporating innovative technology for reporting and automation purposes Qualifications Essential Qualifications Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working with Operations, Quality, or Manufacturing teams or projects is a plus Data Analysis: Proficiency in data manipulation, cleaning, and statistical analysis using tools like Python, R, VBA, or SQL Data Visualization: Ability to create clear and informative visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, and others Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to tackle complex data-related challenges and provide actionable insights Communication Skills: Effective communication to convey findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Collins Aerospace, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits The salary range for this role is $37,000 - $82,000, depending on experience and qualifications. You will also be eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Additionally, you may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, depending on the level of the position and business unit performance.
