Job Overview The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in driving sales growth, developing strategic relationships with clients, and identifying new business opportunities. Under the guidance of the Chief, the successful candidate will execute common business objectives, provide support capabilities connected with sales, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of merchants' products, programs, and issues, and identify opportunities to acquire new business with arenaflex. Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the buyer's objectives and goals for the category, and effectively communicate and offer ADW data resources to the buyer. Aggressively pursue new business opportunities with new and current sellers, and participate in trade shows to foster new and innovative products for arenaflex. Collaborate with the director and colleagues to adhere to ADW's business objectives, development, and account management conventions. Work closely with existing clients to develop products, pricing, reporting, and new product trends that meet arenaflex's specific needs. Conduct plant reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with arenaflex's food safety and social responsibility standards. Manage demo and endcap monies, or other marketing opportunities, to achieve best results. Provide arenaflex's buyers with modern market trends and industry data, and augment the seller's true capacity with arenaflex. Effectively communicate with other regional colleagues, sharing information, merchant challenges, potential opportunities, and more. Safeguard and secure all confidential and proprietary information. Ensure the timely resolution of issues, including deliveries, product quality, packaging, billing, and more. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should possess: A Bachelor's degree in Sales and Marketing, Finance, or Communications. 5-7 years of direct sales experience, preferably approaching arenaflex's buyers, or earlier CPG experience approaching arenaflex's clients. 2 years of earlier marketing/project/communications management experience. 2 years of earlier management/leadership experience. Excellent communication skills, including system development and strategic planning. Marketing/analytical skills, including accessing and interpreting IRI/AC Nielson data, post-promotion analysis, and category management. Financial skills, including the ability to formulate profit and volume strategies and grasp financial reports. Logistics skills, including knowledge of order processing, inventory tracking, customer and client distribution techniques. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working in a remote environment, with a proven ability to self-motivate and manage time effectively. Familiarity with arenaflex's products and services, or similar industry experience. Knowledge of sales and marketing software, including CRM systems and data analysis tools.
