Job Overview As a CAD Engineer – Timing for Transistor-Level Circuit Design and Development at arenaflex, you will be an integral part of the Silicon Innovations group, responsible for designing and producing future generations of high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chip (SoC) solutions. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring that arenaflex products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle the tasks that make them beloved by millions of users worldwide. This is a part-time position, offering a competitive salary of $25 per hour, with an expected work schedule of 8 hours per day, based in California, USA. Key Responsibilities Define, implement, and support the systems, flows, and tools necessary to verify semiconductor-level circuits in the areas of timing, signal integrity, and circuit verification. Collaborate closely with digital and analog designers to ensure that their designs meet functionality, timing, electrical, power, and signal integrity objectives. Work with design teams to understand and troubleshoot tool issues and limitations. Develop and maintain flows, scripts, and policies for semiconductor-level analysis. Conduct in-depth analysis of timing paths to identify key points of interest. Create documentation and assist with guidelines/specifications. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 2 years of applicable industry experience. You should have experience or related coursework in timing, STA, CAD, philosophy, advanced design, and other relevant areas. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in programming languages such as Perl, Python, TCL, or similar languages is highly desirable. Familiarity with semiconductor-level tools, such as NanoTime, PathMill, HSPICE, is a significant plus. You should also have knowledge of digital custom circuit designs, including dynamic circuit methods and memories, along with Zest models and netlists. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you should be a self-starter with high energy and enthusiasm, possessing excellent communication skills to accurately describe issues and follow them through to resolution. You should be a team player with a strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including design groups and CAD teams, to drive timing, power, signal integrity, and functional verification efforts.
