You'll be responsible for creating home-style meal plans, preparing meals and snacks, and maintaining a safe and organized kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities Create home-style, nutritional meal plans within the boundaries of our school's menu and budget, as well as state and federal requirements Prepare meals and snacks for children and staff, and distribute food to the classrooms Follow the daily menu provided by the Director, incorporating USDA, licensing, and/or health department regulations Maintain inventory of food and supplies, and order more when needed Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility (preferred) A willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work A high school diploma or equivalent (required) A food safety certification (preferred) Essential Skills and Competencies Strong cooking and food preparation skills Ability to follow recipes and menus Knowledge of nutrition and meal planning Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills and attention to detail Career Growth and Learning Benefits At Learning Care Group, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
