As a Concierge Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, providing them with timely and effective solutions to their healthcare-related questions and concerns. Key Responsibilities Respond to telephone and email inquiries from members and providers within defined service standards, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of their queries. Negotiate with providers to gain acceptance for plans without network agreements and/or out of network providers, utilizing your excellent communication and negotiation skills. Assist members with benefits and healthcare questions, providing them with accurate and up-to-date information to help them make informed decisions. Document all calls received in the system-based call log, maintaining accurate and detailed records of customer interactions. Take initiative to resolve situations and accomplish project actions and tasks, demonstrating your ability to work independently and as part of a team. Build strong relationships with internal and external customers, including providers, members, and other stakeholders, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Minimum High School Diploma or GED, with 2 years of college or higher education preferred. At least one year of customer service or call center experience in a healthcare-related role, with medical intake or Third-Party Administrator (TPA) experience being highly desirable. Bilingual English-Spanish skills are a plus, as they will enable you to communicate effectively with a diverse range of customers. Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations tactfully and diplomatically. Proficient with Microsoft applications, strong computer skills, and computer navigation, with excellent data entry and typing skills. Knowledge of provider organizations and networks, as well as CMS Medicare reimbursement rates, with the ability to effectively negotiate rate structures. Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be highly advantageous: Medical terminology and understanding of self-funded health benefits. Claim processing skills and experience with insurance verification or pre-certification. Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to anticipate potential needs and problems. Experience working in a provider office or facility billing department, or financial area.
