About the Role We are currently recruiting for two fixed-term contract Customer Engagement Officers to play a vital role in enhancing, promoting, and managing the involvement of customers in making decisions about their homes and communities. As a Customer Engagement Officer, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact and ensure our customers' voices are heard. You will work closely with involved customers to help improve our services, using a range of communication tools to engage effectively with wider communities and external partners. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing relationships with key service areas and departments to embed a customer-centric approach, supporting colleagues to effectively engage customers. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement customer engagement initiatives to promote customer involvement in decision-making processes Facilitate customer engagement activities, including leading meetings, focus groups, and community events Design and deliver effective communication materials for customers, ensuring that their needs and concerns are addressed Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, colleagues, and external partners Maintain a consistent approach to logging customer engagement across the Group, evidencing impact and value Work with Customer panels to carry out reviews of the effectiveness and impact of customer engagement initiatives, making recommendations for future development What We Are Looking For To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience of working in a Customer or Community Engagement role, with a strong understanding of the legal and regulatory framework relevant to Housing. You will have a proven track record of facilitating customer engagement initiatives, including leading meetings, focus groups, and community events. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working with a range of stakeholders, including customers, colleagues, and external partners. Essential Qualifications Previous experience of working in a Customer or Community Engagement role Experience of facilitating customer engagement initiatives, including leading meetings, focus groups, and community events Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework relevant to Housing Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders DBS check will be required before commencing employment Ability to drive and access to a vehicle, due to occasional need to travel to Platform sites Preferred Qualifications Experience of designing effective communication materials for customers Knowledge of customer engagement principles and practices Experience of working in a housing or social care environment Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. You will be able to work effectively in a team environment, building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. You will be proactive, flexible, and adaptable, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
