As a Customer Service Advocate, you'll be part of a team that's committed to mitigating our impact on the environment and enabling and delivering equitable care that addresses health disparities and improves health outcomes. **Primary Responsibilities** As a Customer Service Advocate, you'll be responsible for: * Listening actively and asking appropriate questions to identify specific questions or issues, and documenting inquiries from members of arenaflex's programs regarding medical, vision, dental, pharmacy plan details, plan/program eligibility, and medical claims. * Using multiple databases, tools, and partnerships to refer and enroll members to appropriate internal specialists and programs based on their needs. * Interpreting and translating clinical/medical terminology and coding to assist members with managing costs using simple language. * Adapting to communicated changes in process, policy, and guidelines quickly at site and enterprise level. * Educating members about the fundamentals of healthcare benefits and plans. * Assisting members to maximize use of community services, support programs, and resources available. * Meeting performance goals established for the position in efficiency, call quality, customer satisfaction, first call resolution, schedule adherence, and attendance. **Key Skills and Qualifications** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * 1+ years of experience in a customer service environment. * Ability to work Monday - Friday during our normal business hours of 8:30am - 5:00pm and 12:30pm - 9:00pm CST. Occasional overtime may be required. * Strong active listening, negotiation, empathy, patience, resilience, agility, flexibility, conflict resolution, cultural sensitivity, disability & diversity awareness, and effective time and resource management skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable) and maintain a dedicated work area that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy. **Preferred Qualifications** * 2+ years of experience in a customer service environment. * Part of arenaflex Benefit Operations and Experience. * Experience in a healthcare insurance environment. **Telecommuting Requirements** As a remote employee, you'll need to: * Have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy. * Live in a location that can receive a arenaflex-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service. **Compensation and Benefits** We offer a competitive hourly rate, ranging from $16.00 - $31.44 per hour, depending on your location and experience.
