As a temporary Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring seamless store operations, and contributing to the overall success of the organization. Job Summary In this dynamic and customer-facing role, you will be responsible for modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience, engaging with customers, and providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. As a key member of the arenaflex team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals, maintain a clean and well-merchandised store environment, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and memorable Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service, and resolves customer issues in a timely and professional manner Engages customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience Recommends items for sale to customers, suggests trade-up and/or companion items, and processes voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed Maintains a clean and well-merchandised store environment, including counters, shelves, and displays, and ensures that all store equipment is in good working order Implements company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss, and ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise, and completes resets and revisions as directed Assists with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, and suggestive sell of promotional photo products Assumes web pick-up responsibilities, monitors orders, fills orders, and delivers orders to customers as they arrive at the store Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner. You will also require: Previous customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment Basic math skills, with the ability to handle cash and operate a cash register Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and stand for long periods of time High school diploma or equivalent required, with some college or retail experience preferred Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, the following skills and experience are preferred: Previous experience working in a retail environment, with knowledge of store operations and procedures Experience with cash handling, inventory management, and customer service software Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Strong knowledge of products and services, with the ability to make recommendations to customers Experience with visual merchandising, with the ability to create attractive and effective displays Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Communication skills : ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management Interpersonal skills : ability to engage with customers and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner Problem-solving skills : ability to resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner Time management skills : ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Adaptability : ability to adapt to changing situations, including changes in store operations and procedures Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
