Job Overview The Customer Assistance Representative plays a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service and support throughout their travel journey. This position is responsible for interacting with customers in a courteous, efficient, friendly, and professional manner, addressing their needs, and providing solutions to any challenges they may encounter. As the first point of contact for many of our travelers, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impression and contribute to the overall satisfaction of our customers. Key Responsibilities Accept, check, and tag customers’ baggage at kiosks, ensuring that all items are properly processed and handled. Process and complete credit card baggage transactions at kiosks, providing clear instructions and assistance as needed. Assist customers with self-service kiosk check-in and kiosk baggage processing, resolving any technical issues or difficulties that may arise. Manage queuing lines in ticket counter areas, ensuring that customers are attended to in a timely and efficient manner. Accept and activate customers’ self-tagged baggage, performing the necessary checks to ensure compliance with airline regulations. Perform clearance and verification of documents at kiosks, maintaining the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail. Possibly perform additional related duties as deemed operationally necessary by management, in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable using technology, including kiosks and computer systems, and be able to adapt quickly to new processes and procedures. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and previous experience in customer service or a related field is highly desirable. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in the aviation industry or a related field, with knowledge of airline operations and regulations. Proficiency in multiple languages, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds. Experience working with kiosks and self-service technology, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. A strong understanding of customer service principles and practices, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results.
