Key Responsibilities The Online Chat Specialist will report to the Online Chat Manager and will be responsible for a variety of customer support-related duties for blithequark and our clients. The key responsibilities of this role include: Engaging in online conversations with site visitors and responding to queries in a timely and professional manner Providing exceptional customer support in real-time through the use of online chat software Evaluating customer interactions and escalating issues to the Online Chat Manager when necessary Building relationships with new customers to better understand and achieve their needs Responding to customer questions, inquiries, requests, and problems accurately, concisely, and appropriately Promoting interest in client products and services Consistently achieving established standards of the position Continually portraying and projecting a positive and professional image Providing administrative support to the customer service team Assisting with overflow work and other duties as needed Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Strong work ethic with the ability to work well both independently and within the context of a larger team-oriented environment PC keyboarding and internet experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal Upbeat, positive attitude and professional demeanor Articulate and well-accommodated to a client-facing role Ability to compose professional emails Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English Basic technical skills, including the ability to navigate through smartphone and computer applications An upbeat, positive, kind, and empathetic personality Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in an online chat environment Experience working in a remote or home-based setting Familiarity with online chat software and customer relationship management (CRM) systems Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong time management and organizational skills Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and online chat software Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
