Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and support to our policyholders, parents, spouses, and beneficiaries. **Job Summary** As an Experienced Customer Service Professional – Remote Role for the SGLI Program, you will be responsible for providing information to policyholders, parents, spouses, and beneficiaries, as well as receiving, evaluating, and answering customer inquiries. You will use our computerized system to track, gather information, provide information, referrals, routine transactions, and troubleshoot issues. You will also be responsible for promoting products and services, assessing needs, and suggesting alternative products or services. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide information to policyholders, parents, spouses, and beneficiaries * Receive, evaluate, and answer customer inquiries, which may require deviation from standard screens, scripts, and procedures * Use computerized system for tracking, information gathering, providing information, referrals, routine transactions, and troubleshooting * Answer product, account, policy, and service inquiries, resolve problems, and promote products and services by responding verbally and/or in writing * Assess needs and suggest/promote alternative products or services * Handle most calls and transactions independently, escalate calls properly when appropriate * Practical assimilation of Prudential's Leadership Competencies **Essential Qualifications** * 1-3 years of directly related customer service experience and well-developed transaction processing experience * College degree or equivalent business/military experience preferred * Strong people skills with an ability to think like the customer * A passion for delivering top-quality service * Proven record of dependability, punctual, and reliable attendance is critical to the success of a fast-moving, inbound service center * Ability to learn and retain a significant amount of technical information in a relatively short period of time * Receptivity to detailed performance feedback * Proficiency with a keyboard and window-based applications, including Internet * Proven self-motivation skills * Active listening skills * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Ability to excel in a team environment, as well as work well independently * Excellent organization and prioritization skills **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working in a remote or virtual environment * Familiarity with Prudential's products and services * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines **Skills and Competencies** * Strong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional service to policyholders, parents, spouses, and beneficiaries * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers, colleagues, and management * Ability to learn and retain technical information, with a focus on Prudential's products and services * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and resolve problems * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At Prudential, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
