Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and skilled Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team in a hybrid remote work arrangement. As a key member of our back office team, you will be responsible for efficiently managing your workload and providing exceptional customer service, handling a variety of queries related to Life and Pension. Key Responsibilities Manage your workload efficiently, handling tasks that come in via the contact centre or postal mail, and ensuring timely resolution of customer queries. Handle a variety of queries related to Life and Pension, including general inquiries and more complex cases, providing accurate and empathetic support to our customers. Prepare and send responses to customers, including drafting bespoke letters when necessary, and conduct outbound calling as required to address customer needs. Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless communication and workflow, contributing to a positive and productive team environment. Participate in on-the-job training and the accreditation process to further enhance your expertise and capabilities in customer service, and stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous experience in an office-based role, with a focus on customer service and correspondence, and a strong understanding of the importance of providing exceptional customer support. Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively addressing customer queries and providing clear and concise information. Basic office skills and IT awareness, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with good time management skills and attention to detail. Punctuality and reliability, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results. Comfortable communicating with individuals over the phone, with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications and experience are desirable: Previous experience in a similar role, with a focus on Life and Pension queries, and a strong understanding of the UK Life Assurance and Pensions market. Relevant certifications or training in customer service, such as a diploma or certificate in customer service or a related field. Experience with CRM systems or other customer service software, and the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex customer queries and provide creative solutions.
