Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to fill the role of Customer Service Representative – Cashier & Front End Services at blithequark. As the face of our company, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that every customer leaves our store feeling valued and satisfied. This is a full-time position, working 8 hours a day, with a competitive salary of $25 per hour. Key Responsibilities Smile, greet, and thank customers with a positive attitude, ensuring that every customer feels welcome and valued. Represent blithequark by providing excellent customer service, answering customer questions, and assisting with their needs in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that the store is always presentable and safe for customers. Be available to assist colleagues across the store as needed, demonstrating a team-oriented and supportive approach to work. Operate equipment to move carts from the parking lot to inside the store, and clean bathrooms, sales floor, and parking lot as needed. Build carts from the parking lot, ensuring that customers have an excellent first and last impression of our store. Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills: Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly and efficiently in a retail environment. Basic math skills, with the ability to accurately handle cash, operate a point-of-sale system, and maintain a high level of accuracy when processing transactions. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following preferred qualifications and skills will be highly regarded: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a retail environment. Knowledge of blithequark's products and services, or the ability to quickly learn and adapt to our offerings. Experience working with diverse populations, with a strong understanding of the importance of inclusivity and respect in the workplace. Ability to speak multiple languages, with a strong understanding of the local community and its needs. Basic computer skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
