Job Expectations As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for maintaining courteous and professional contact with coworkers, customers, vendors, and the community at large. You will be expected to maintain a neat appearance and good personal hygiene, adhering to our image standards. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional guest service, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and memorable. You will work effectively and safely in a fast-paced environment, following established safety, security, quality guidelines, and company policies, procedures, practices, and programs. Maintain courteous, professional contact with co-workers, customers, vendors, and community at large Maintain neat appearance and good personal hygiene in compliance with blithequark image standards Support and follow established safety, security, quality guidelines as well as blithequark’s policies, procedures, practices, and programs Report accidents or incidents to the manager immediately Preserve safety of self, fellow employees, and all others in the work location by utilizing the blithequark Loss Prevention process Ensure food safety hygiene in accordance with county regulations is followed to include proper sanitation, food handling, preparation, storage, and disposal procedures Follow federal law and company standards on carding customers for all age-restricted products sold at the stations Work professionally with vendors and contractors Regular and punctual attendance is expected Follow proper kitchen and sanitation procedures in accordance with city and county regulations during cooking of food products Essential Functions As a Customer Service Representative, your essential functions will include: Providing exceptional guest service, being courteous, and always greeting and thanking all customers while making eye contact Conducting all point-of-sale activities accurately and safely while adhering to blithequark guidelines and procedures Maintaining cash drawer to be at or below maximum level, securing all funds in safe, and performing cashier reconciliation at each end of shift to ensure accurate management of sales Performing consistent station cleaning of the indoor and outdoor facilities, including restrooms, islands, pumps, and car wash, if applicable Preparing food and hot beverage products, effectively managing foodservice and beverages to ensure maximization of sales and minimization of loss Actively promoting store specials and other marketing programs Cross-checking price of delivered goods for accuracy Distributing delivered goods in an orderly manner throughout the store and continuously ensuring shelves are full of products Observing local law requirements in activating and filling vehicle fuel tanks with gasoline or diesel fuel to specified levels Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following requirements and qualifications: Must be sufficiently proficient in English to understand blithequark policies, safety training, and job instructions, and to effectively communicate with customers and/or coworkers on work-related matters Available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays Strong attention to detail Ability to handle challenging situations professionally and exercise exceptional judgment Ability to work both independently and in team settings Must possess required up-to-date food handling certificates, as required by law (in specific locations only) Cooking/Restaurant experience preferred Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong customer service skills, with the ability to provide exceptional guest experiences Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities Basic math skills, with the ability to accurately handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system Ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods, with the ability to move products using proper lifting techniques Ability to work safely with equipment that can create and hold very high temperatures, using appropriate personal protective equipment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
