Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Associate to join our team at blithequark. As a Customer Service Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences, ensuring that every customer leaves our store feeling valued and satisfied. Your duties will include, but are not limited to: Assisting customers with questions and recommendations, providing personalized support to enhance their shopping experience Managing sales transactions while working assigned cash register, maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all transactions Maintaining security of cash and protecting blithequark assets, adhering to our high standards of integrity and accountability Keeping the store well-stocked, recovering merchandise, and receiving new shipments, ensuring that our store is always fully stocked and visually appealing Ensuring a positive, safe, and respectful environment, maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders at all times Maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable Performing other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or equivalent, preferred Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment, highly preferred Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents, with strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly Physical ability to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height, meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting Excellent customer service and relationship management skills, with a strong focus on building rapport and resolving customer complaints Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and customers Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with ability to think critically and make sound judgments in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working in a retail environment, with knowledge of sales transactions, inventory management, and customer service principles Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a willingness to adapt to changing schedules and priorities Strong leadership skills, with ability to motivate and inspire colleagues to achieve exceptional customer service standards Knowledge of blithequark policies and procedures, with ability to apply this knowledge to make informed decisions and take appropriate actions Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
