Job Overview As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional shopping experiences to our customers. Your key priorities will include greeting customers, assisting them with the selection of merchandise, completing transactions, and answering questions regarding the store and merchandise. Key Responsibilities Provide customer engagement in a positive and approachable manner, ensuring that every customer interaction is personalized, friendly, and professional. Assist in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store for customers during their shopping experience, contributing to a safe and secure shopping environment. Help in the unloading of merchandise from delivery trucks, organize merchandise, and transport merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor, ensuring that our store is always fully stocked and visually appealing. Independently stock shelves and recover merchandise in the store, taking pride in your work and ensuring that our store is always tidy and well-organized. Accurately handle customer funds and process transactions using the POS system, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Remain constantly aware of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment, reporting any concerns or incidents to management in a timely and professional manner. Perform all other duties as assigned in order to maintain an effective and profitable store operation, demonstrating your flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances. Position Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of education, experience, and skills that will enable you to provide exceptional customer service and support the smooth operation of our store. Education We prefer candidates who have completed high school or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in basic skills such as communication, problem-solving, and time management. You should also be able to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents as assigned, demonstrating your ability to learn and adapt to new information. Experience We prefer candidates who have experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments, demonstrating your understanding of customer service principles and your ability to work in a fast-paced environment. If you have experience working in a similar role, you will be well-equipped to handle the demands of this position and provide exceptional customer service to our customers. Physical Requirements This role requires a high level of physical activity, including regularly lifting up to 40lbs. (and occasionally, up to 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height. You should also be able to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
