About the Role As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for handling incoming phone calls and being the primary customer interface for inquiries. You will inform and educate our members, serve as a member advocate, and build trust in our abilities. By using established best practices, attending ongoing training, and utilizing resources and tools, you will serve as an expert to help navigate the challenging world of insurance. Key Responsibilities Interface with customers via telephone, written correspondence, fax, web, and/or electronic mail Research customer information utilizing appropriate systems, policies, regulations, procedures, and other reference materials to effectively respond to and resolve customer issues Elevate sensitive customer requests when necessary Comply with State and Federal regulations and mandates, which are continually changing, thus creating a very dynamic environment Take initiative to stay current on policies and procedures required to support the customer and to ensure compliance Remain current on knowledge of diverse products and proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability Requirements and Qualifications To be considered for this position, you must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent and three years of experience in a complaint-type customer service office setting (health insurance or related field preferred). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement. Availability for training, which is 9-12 weeks in length, is also required. Preferred Qualifications Basic medical/dental terminology and contract interpretation is a plus Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong focus on customer satisfaction Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with customers Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex customer issues Ability to work in a virtual environment, with a reliable internet service provider and a dedicated, distraction-free workspace What We Offer At arenaflex, we offer a competitive salary of $39,520 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health benefits that are effective on the 1st of the month following your start date. As a full-time employee, you will work 40 hours per week, with a schedule that includes 9-12 weeks of live virtual training, followed by a regular schedule of 8.5 hours per day, between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm (Central Time Zone), Monday to Friday.
