About the Role The Customer Service Representative is the face of blithequark, impacting members' service experience through handling customer service inquiries and problems via telephone, internet, or written correspondence. This role engages, consults, and educates members based on their unique needs, preferences, and understanding of blithequark plans, tools, and resources, guiding them towards a clear path to care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to empathize with members, and a strong understanding of blithequark policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Handle customer service inquiries and problems via telephone, internet, or written correspondence in a professional and compassionate manner. Engage, consult, and educate members based on their unique needs, preferences, and understanding of blithequark plans, tools, and resources. Answer questions and resolve issues based on phone calls/letters from members, providers, and other departments, ensuring timely and effective solutions. Triage resulting rework to appropriate staff, maintaining efficiency and productivity in the workflow. Document and track contacts with members, providers, and plan sponsors, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records. Guide members through their plan of benefits, blithequark policy, and procedures, as well as knowledge of resources to comply with any regulatory guidelines. Create an emotional connection with members by understanding and engaging them to the fullest, championing their best health. Take accountability to fully understand members' needs by building trusting and caring relationships, anticipating customer needs, and providing related information to answer unasked questions. Qualifications Essential Qualifications Required to reside within a 50-mile radius of New Albany, OH, in the event of an outage, you may be asked to work onsite. Customer Service experience in a transaction-based environment, such as a call center or retail location, demonstrating the ability to be empathetic and compassionate. Experience in a production environment. High School or GED equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Ability to multi-task to accomplish workload efficiently. Understanding of medical terminology. Oral and written communication skills. Ability to maintain accuracy and production standards. Problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Analytical skills. Education and Experience A High School diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent experience is required for this role.
