Key Responsibilities Receive and handle inbound calls from members in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their queries and concerns related to home healthcare and benefits. Utilize computer systems and software to access member information, update records, and provide solutions, with approximately 95% of work being conducted on the computer. Collaborate closely with Case Managers and Nurses to ensure that members receive comprehensive support and care. Apply knowledge of medical terminology to understand and address member inquiries effectively. Maintain accurate records of calls, including details of discussions and actions taken, using MS Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word. Contribute to a positive and productive team environment, demonstrating excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and a strong ability to work well with others. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: At least 2+ years of experience in a call center, doctor's office, or customer service-related position, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service. Excellent computer skills, with the ability to navigate multiple software systems and applications with ease. Familiarity with MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, and the ability to learn new systems quickly. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner. Experience with medical terminology, or a willingness to learn and apply this knowledge in a customer service context. A polite, professional, and patient demeanor, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult calls with empathy and understanding. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications and experiences are highly desirable: Prior experience working in a healthcare-related call center or customer service environment. Advanced knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare benefits. Experience with call center software and technology, including CRM systems. A certification in customer service or a related field, such as a Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) designation.
