Job Overview We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team in Irving, TX. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for accurately handling inbound and outbound business calls, along with related mortgage insurance documentation and processing. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work from our office and remotely. Key Responsibilities Attend industry-related continuing education training and courses to enhance your knowledge and skills. Answer telephone call inquiries while maintaining positive rapport with borrowers/clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Complete outbound telephone calls to insurance companies to retrieve documentation or validate information, demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills. Work within a call queue and document system with appropriate notations, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of customer inquiries. Perform research and document retrieval from online insurance sites, utilizing your analytical and technical skills to resolve customer issues. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and insurance companies, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Support the company by maintaining minimum performance standards based on company service commitments as well as individual goals, contributing to the team's success and growth. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: At least 1 year of call center experience, with a strong understanding of environmental expectations and customer service principles. 10-key typing skills with a minimum of 32 words per minute, ensuring efficient data entry and processing. Reading comprehension skills to understand company manuals and step-by-step procedures, demonstrating attention to detail and analytical abilities. A working knowledge of the Windows computer environment and Office software, particularly Excel, to effectively utilize our systems and tools. High attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy and quality in a fast-paced environment. Strong telephone techniques and effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to clients and colleagues. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, to efficiently manage customer interactions and documentation. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working with community bank bond, D&O, property, and casualty insurance programs, demonstrating a strong understanding of the insurance industry and its complexities. Previous experience in mortgage insurance, forced placed insurance, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and support. A willingness to attend educational classes and training sessions, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
