Position Summary We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Service Representative. In this role, you will provide critical telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and revivifying benefits. You will also assist our patients with translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into our pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders that have accounts receivable or clinical issues. Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring timely and compassionate support throughout their treatment journey. Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying benefits and ensuring seamless fulfillment. Effectively interact with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners to resolve issues and ensure the timely processing of specialty medications. Utilize superb communication skills to ensure that financial and clinical expectations are met prior to fulfillment. Work collaboratively with internal teams, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to resolve accounts receivable or clinical issues. Required Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: At least one year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone. One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications. One year of computer keyboarding experience, with demonstrated skills and aptitude. A verifiable high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications While not required, we prefer candidates with: Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology.
