Key Responsibilities Assist customers in different parts of the rental or return process on our airport lots, including checking cars, entering information in a handheld device, and processing rentals of our loyalty customers Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner Work outdoors in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a seamless and efficient customer experience Utilize basic computer skills, including typing and data entry, to process customer information and transactions Demonstrate effective verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers and colleagues Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High School Diploma (or equivalent) Valid Driver's License Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry Effective verbal communication skills Willingness to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays Ability to type, sit, stand, walk, or move throughout the rental lot and enter/exit vehicles for prolonged periods Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: 6 months of retail customer service experience in a fast-paced environment Previous experience working in a car rental or related industry Basic knowledge of car rental operations and procedures Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry Ability to work in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and mutual support Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve customer issues in a professional and courteous manner Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Avis Budget Group, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
